Economic Misery Sparks Racial Tensions High In Athens

Much angry and high tensions in the streets of Athens,Greece lately. And it is getting really bad there, some citizens there have taken it upon themselves to rally a Nazi styled type militia group. Why you say? Because of their Government that has been cutting job salaries,   job employment, and retirement pensions.

So due to all of this economic struggle that Greece overall has been subjected to, it is now coming down to this the citizens taking some serious measures to turn their Government’s blind eye to attend to their needs of a solution of stability that has been neglected time and time again.

Nazi Militia Groups Established

The Golden Dawn Party, is an established Nazi Organization that has won 18 seats in Parliament this past June. And the Party has been blaming immigrants that have checked into Greece (Living Residents) as the cause of their financial woes and infringement of jobs opportunities.

Plus some say that the immigrants that have come there have only taken the jobs there and have not circulated money back into the country, but they send most of their revenue earned back to their own country to relatives or love ones. With that being said,10% of Greek voters are leaning hard to the far right (Or Extremists) and they definitely are playing for keeps.

They are going to defend their country, their human rights, and their history and religion of their country, as one shop owner in Athens,Greece stated. Thanos Veremis, a Professor at University Of Athens commented and said that “Greece was never a violent country, it didn’t matter in how poor a neighborhood might have been.

But now it’s an entirely new phenomenon now things changed drastically here”. And his is right, just last month Golden Dawn Operatives smashed up a store belonging to migrate workers in the town of Rufina,Greece.

They demanded work permits to be checked, intimidated workers, and they damaged much of the store’s good products. Last year an Afghanistan man was attacked fiercely by the very same group (They beat him with bottles over his head and stabbed him with a knife), after they discovered the guy was from Afghanistan and he was in the hospital for a while as a result from the attack.

Hopefully things might get better for Greece’s financial disposition, but as of now it isn’t safe due to all the mayhem and violence that is running rampant as of late.

Till Then My Motto: Stay cool, calm, collective knowing that the only thing that keeps you from making a difference is yourself strive for the best!
